“Days turn to minutes / And minutes to memories / Life sweeps away the dreams / That we have planned / You are young and you are the future / So suck it up and tough it out / And be the best you can.” – John Cougar Mellencamp (Scarecrow, 1985)
Al, we have returned home to a quiet house. It seems SO quiet. And I see this and the tears are flowing in gratitude for my friend Al … and because my heart hurts so much for my son who has ‘graduated’. I love you deeply my friend. I can’t imagine how long it took you to do this…but it was a beautiful gift. Come give me a ride in your new car.
I’m going to say it, too. Wow! We’re all like some kind of little family that has been brought closer by John and now through this sad time. Thanks for all the work you did on this!
It is obvious the scope of lives that have been impacted and the love that the Dobbs have passed out to so many. Great tribute Brother! Thanks for sharing.
i am blessed to have you and John as friends, Al. I truly hope and pray for you and your fam as you head off to law school. This video was tough for me because of so many faces that I might not get to see again that truly had a great impact on the way that I see and treat people, and the way that I live. God bless you Al. You did a great job of capturing a small piece of the impact the Dobbs family has on the world.

This is a beautiful tribute to John and his family. Being in OK now Internet is the only way for me to stay connected. I love and miss everyone from the coast.
I wish you well in your new pursuits.

Wow, what a way to start my day. Can I see to type?
Al, that is beautiful. It’s a privilege to share in this outpouring of love. God is glorified!
Wow, thanks for that Al. What a great glimpse of the far reaching impact the Dobbs have had in the lives of many.
That was beautiful! Thank you!

I wanted to say “Wow!” but somebody already did. Actually, two people did. But I will anyway: Wow! Thanks for that, Al.
