Overall, torts is my favorite class. Which makes the fact that I feel lost heading into the mid-term today a little ironic.
As always, I’m still trying to figure out direction in life, now in the context of “the law.” Torts has helped me locate a definite interest in civil rights, and I “think” I’ve decided that I want to pursue an internship along those lines my first summer. And see where things go from there.
And I think I have some new theme verses from the Bible. In Proverbs 31, just before the virtuous woman passage, and just after the most embarrassing verses in the Bible for teetotalers, come these instructions to King Lemuel from his mother: “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.” (Proverbs 31: 8-9)
If all goes well, you can carve those words on my headstone someday.
