Lonely

It’s awfully lonely around here this morning. Jody took Hillary and a couple other girls from church to a retreat high in the San Gabriel Mountains this weekend. I can’t wait to see them this afternoon and hear about their experience. As you can see from the pic I swiped above, just the highway appears to be quite an experience.

Funny how we live on the beach with beautiful weather year around, and yet we can drive just sixty miles and be up in mountains where it snows!

Well, we are back. Hillary and I both had a great time. We made new friends and were able to praise God and study together. Our highest elevation for the weekend was 7000ft. We actually camped at 6000ft. It was soooooo cold. When we left Sunday morning it was 38 at the top of the mountains, but was at 63 when we got to the bottom. It is so amazing to me that I woke up in the mountains, had lunch in the city and was watching the waves crash on the coast before supper. I live in an amazing place!
