Global Church

I officially met Andrei Duta last week when he and Preacher Ken were having lunch in the law school cafeteria. They told me a little about what they were planning for our worship service yesterday, and Andrei explained his passion for children’s homes.

So yesterday, Andrei and the University Church of Christ (in Malibu) joined Andrei’s parents and children from Romanian orphanages for worship via a global video conference. Our children and their children sang “Jesus Loves Me” together, and we all shared communion simultaneously. Pretty cool.

I started thinking that it was a pretty good approach to worship in the first place: search out people different than you, find a song you both know, and share a meal together.
