It’s Pearl Harbor Day, but I always remembered it as the day between my parents’ birthdays. I have a different way of remembering it now.
I’m not sure, on average, how many people are killed in war every day. I do know that, for the families of those people, that day is anything but average.
Today is the second anniversary of Micah Gifford’s death in Iraq. Micah is the kid brother of my new law school friend, Ben. I’m thinking about his family this morning.
