Have an Organically-Groovy Valentine’s Day

Posted: February 14, 2009 in Music

Get your Valentine’s Day started right with a little music from the Michael Wolff Trio. We plan to finish our day off that way by enjoying him in concert here on campus.

His website describes his music this way: “Michael Wolff’s music is firmly rooted in the jazz and blues tradition, while cleanly and coolly fusing everything from alt rock to soul to funk to Eastern Indian rhythms. His improvisations create an undeniable organic groove.”

What I didn’t know were his famous connections:
* He was band leader / music director for The Arsenio Hall Show (check him out on YouTube)
* His wife was Ellyn on the TV show, “thirtysomething” (check her out on YouTube)
* His kids are the popular band/Nickelodeon tv show, “The Naked Brothers Band” (check them out on YouTube)

Have a great day!
