I always remember the day we moved to Mississippi as the day after Valentine’s Day, so ten years ago today. It also happened to be the day before Mardi Gras in 1999, which made it memorable, too. We learned that not many places are open for business on Fat Tuesday on the Mississippi Gulf Coast!

Anyway, feeling a little nostalgic this morning thinking back over the 9 1/2 years we spent there. Lots and lots and lots of good memories.

My friend, Sonya, posted the picture above on her Facebook page a couple of weeks ago. I officiated Chad & Sonya’s wedding in Marshall Park just before Christmas in 2001. It was a beautiful setting with the gazebo all decorated for the holidays, and it was memorable for the train that rolled through near the conclusion of the ceremony!!!

I’m glad to have access to this picture now, too. As a reminder of when Hillary and I both had chubby cheeks and I had hair. 🙂
