#1: I was called on in Contracts class yesterday, which ranks up there with other scary things like, say, hell. But Professor McDonald gave me an easy case, so I did okay with it. HUGE relief. Now, I’m hoping that the semester will end before he has time to get around to me again.

#2: I had a phone interview with Public Counsel yesterday afternoon regarding a summer internship. That makes six places I could possibly work this summer, all of which are pretty fascinating. Public Counsel interviewed me for their “Homelessness Prevention Project,” which you can read about HERE.

#3: First report was GOOD NEWS from my friend, Jon Wood, yesterday. His wife’s note said, “I want to let all of you know that I just spoke with Dr. Benzel on the phone and the surgery was a success! He said he was able to get basically all of the tumor and that Jon is still sedated but is able to move his extremities. What a relief! I will meet with Dr. Benzel soon and will let you know if there is anything new to tell. Thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement. It has meant so much to both of us. I will be in touch.”

Second report was GOOD NEWS, too! Here it is: “Wanted to let you all know that I just saw Jon and he looks great! Dr. Benzel awakened him and he began to move his hands and feet immediately. He responded to everything we said and even smiled when I made a joke. The dr. said he had already had Jon lift both arms and legs and lower them slowly which is excellent news. He squeezed my hand tightly and slightly nodded his head many times to respond when I spoke to him. We can all rest a little easier tonight. Thanks again for everything and please pass this along.”

#4: Haven’t said this publicly yet, but I’ve accepted an offer to be the R.A. for the married apartments next year. We’re pretty excited about it – it is quite a cool opportunity. If interested for some weird reason, the breakdown of responsibilities is listed HERE.

#5: I have a Criminal Law mid-term tomorrow (as with last semester’s mid-terms, the grade doesn’t count). Great opportunity to get a feel for how Professor Levine tests, and a great opportunity to practice. But it means I’d better study tonight.

#6: Tonight is Hillary’s last practice before Seussical the Musical opens tomorrow night!!! She has worked so hard. Be prepared for daily updates!
