Let me tell you something weird about Malibu. Low humidity, cool ocean breeze, and seventy degree temperatures, but when you sit out in the sun at a Pepperdine baseball you sit under the hottest sun you’ll ever encounter. Don’t understand it, but that’s the facts, Jack.
Anyway, we could only make it halfway through the Pepperdine game yesterday. If we would’ve stayed another inning, one of us would’ve burst into flames. (In the end, Pepperdine broke a seven-game losing streak with a 5-4 win over Gonzaga.)
Today is the real Opening Day for Major League Baseball. Sure, the Braves beat the Phillies last night, but until the Cardinals play, who really cares? 🙂
Anyway, Adam Wainwright takes the mound this afternoon in St. Louis against Paul Maholm and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Go Redbirds!!!
