Well, I’ve been staying busy this week. Partly, errands. I’ve been to the doctor and the dentist and the car dealership so far, and I spent this evening cleaning out my closet. Partly, following sports. L.A. has either been celebrating Kobe or the Clippers winning the draft lottery, and I’ve personally been celebrating a couple of Redbird wins over the Cubbies. Partly, school work (yes, school work). I’m hoping to get on an academic journal next year, and whether I grade on or write on I have to complete something called a Subcheck (think editing a paper in a special code); that has been keeping me busy, too.
But behind all the staying busy, I’m playing the waiting game. Waiting on six law school grades to trickle in one at a time. They aren’t due until June 15, but they could come in at any time between now and then. I don’t think the waiting is going to kill me, but it sure has occupied a lot of my thinking in spite of my efforts not to let it. I’ve checked my account more times already than I’d care to admit.
Come to think of it, maybe I should check it one more time before I go to bed.
