The only reason I’m okay with missing college football today is that I’m getting to do a couple of really good things (serve the homeless, and speak at a retreat). Otherwise, I would not be very happy. 🙂

Of course,the biggest game of the day has to be the showdown between the Missouri State Bears and the Arkansas Razorbacks. How ESPN chose to stay away from Little Rock today is simply too much for me to understand.

But as a second choice, I’ll have to admit that the Alabama/Virginia Tech matchup is intriguing. As is Georgia/Oklahoma State. As is Oklahoma/BYU.

Of the four games I’m most interested in, my guess is that all the SEC teams (Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia) and Oklahoma will emerge victorious. Of course, who knows? This is the beauty of being a sports fan.

So if you have nothing else to do today, I would highly recommend honing your remote control skills on Weekend One of the greatest sport of them all. For today, I’ll just have to check the scores.
