We decided to summon up our superpowers and make Valentine’s Day come a day early this year. After delivering sack lunches to the Malibu Labor Exchange, Jody and I drove to the Santa Monica Pier and spent the afternoon there.
We had lunch at Bubba Gump’s, wandered aimlessly around the pier, rode the roller coaster, stopped for a ice cream cone, and wandered around the Third Street Promenade. It was seventy degrees with a cool breeze in Southern California today, and all in all, the day couldn’t have been any more perfect.
I have been in love with Jody for just over sixteen years now, and it just gets deeper and sweeter with each passing year.
