Tonight is the last night for my mother’s visit. We have had a very nice week together.
Hillary left with her youth group for Big Bear today, so tonight, the “three” of us was my mom, Jody, and I. We went to eat at Coogie’s, where I had a tasty veggie burger with sweet potato fries, and then we went to see Pepperdine’s #1 ranked men’s volleyball team take on #5 ranked Cal State Northridge.
Good news for Waves fans! We won an exciting four-set match!
There appears to be a lot of parity in men’s volleyball this year. We began the season 1-4, but we have been on quite a winning streak ever since. Stanford is behind us at #2, then UCLA at #3, and then BYU at #4, waiting for us to falter. Of course, it would be nice to never lose, but there is a lot of season left. The goal is to be the team that wins the final match in the college volleyball season.
I bet a lot of you don’t have a favorite men’s volleyball team, so feel free to jump on the bandwagon.
