The Open Road Is Calling

Well, 2L is over. 3L here we come. And I get to watch baseball tomorrow. With a press pass. All this deserves a Yay Me!

But it gets even better.

Because for my next trick I get to fly cross country, get in a car with Erica, and drive back across the country along famed Route 66. Well, it’s Interstate 40 now, but it’s the best I can do.

I’ll be disappearing from the world of the Internet for several days now, but you guys feel free to have fun without me. I highly suspect I’ll have pictures and stories to share upon my return.

As I go, I’ll share a song from the Great American Road we plan to travel. I could have gone with the smooth stylings of the original, Bobby Troup, or I could have gone with either the classy Nat King Cole or the rockin’ Rolling Stones. Or I could have got in touch with my Disney side and had the Cheetah Girls sing it a la the Cars movie. But in the end, I went with my genearation: Enjoy Depeche Mode getting their kicks on Route 66.
